Summary: Ryo borrows Koyama's cat because he wants to conquer Shige's heart.. Oh, no, wait, of course he only wants to help Yamapi conquer Koyama's heart. Shige is not amused and Koyama is.. well.. Koyama.
Note: This doesn't make sense at all and I don't think anyone get whether the plan has worked out or not but well.. Blame fairy for this because she gave me this.. prompt and I couldn't say no to it.

A day of fun
It had been after a concert that NEWS had decided to go to Koyama for a sleep-over.
Naturally Koyama had freaked out because the decision had been made over his head and he hadn’t had the time to prepare the futons or food or to clean up in general.
But he wasn’t the type who could ever say no when Tegoshi had chirped “For the member-ai” and Yamapi had smiled at him. Koyama wasn’t quite sure if he agreed because of Tegoshi or Yamapi, probably both because he wouldn’t have been able to bear a teary-eyed, pouting Tegoshi.
So while everyone was talking about the concert in Koyama’s living room the literature graduate was running around and tried to clean up. He even forced Shige to go and help him.
For Shige’s and Ryo’s sake Koyama had locked Nyanta away but not without explaining the cat that he had to do it because otherwise Ryo and Shige might die and it was only for one night and then Koyama nearly broke out in tears because it looked as if Nyanta pouted at him for locking him in the uncomfortable storage room.
When morning broke, Yamapi offered to help Koyama clean up the mess the members had made during the night and Shige was just about to say that he could help as well but Ryo pulled him out of the door before Shige could even say “I could” and dragged him into his car.
The bag Shige didn’t quite remember Ryo had possessed the last night already disappeared in the trunk and Shige was pushed into Ryo’s car.
“What the hell are you doing?” Shige asked when Ryo drove off in something that reminded Shige of a stampede.
“Driving you home, of course, what else? Hey, you are free today, right? Let’s go over to my apartment and- erm- have some fun!?”
Shige blinked and then he heard something that sounded like a meow but was barely audible so that Shige wasn’t sure whether he had heard right and so decided to ignore for the moment.
“Erm Nishikido-kun, since when do you want to spend your time with me? I mean, throughout the day. Don’t you have work or… well… precious friends?”
“Ryo, my name is Ryo how often do I have to tell you that? And despite that, I do want to spend my precious time with you. Now look who’s surprised.”
Shige narrowed his eyes and observed Ryo for a while not getting at all why Ryo would want to spend his free time with him.
Then Shige heard the sound again and now he was really sure that it didn’t come from the car but that it sounded as if a cat was here only that Shige showed no signs of allergic reactions.
“Ni- Ryo-…chan did you hear that sound?”
Ryo shook his head a bit too fast and his hands held a firm grip on the steering wheel.
“Cat? Stupid, why should there be a cat?” he grinned at Shige but the law student just raised an eyebrow.
Ryo then suddenly turned the car away from the street and parked in front of a drugstore.
“I’ll be right back, don’t move, don’t touch anything or I’ll kill you!”
Shige gulped and stiffened, he knew that Ryo used to stick to his threats.
When Ryo returned he dropped the bag from the drugstore in Shige’s lap and the other one investigated the contents.
“Medicine against allergic reactions? Why would you need that?”
“Shut up!” and Shige did because Ryo started glaring, at the cars in front of him and Shige had always been a bit scared when Ryo started glaring.

Ryo stopped in front of his apartment and Shige had no chance than to come along because Ryo had made perfectly clear that he would kill Shige if he didn’t follow. Once they had entered the apartment Shige heard the meow again, louder this time and it sounded as if it came from inside Ryo’s bag.
Shige’s eyes narrowed when he took the bag away from Ryo and opened it. He gasped, being eye to eye with an annoyed cat- but not any cat, it was Nyanta.
“Nishikido-kun why is…” Shige got cut off by a sneezing attack and his eyes got so teary he barely could see anything. Nyanta had decided that it was time to jump out of the bag and hide under Ryo’s couch because those two humans seemed creepy and maybe Koyama would come and get him because Koyama was a nice human and found him everywhere.
“Here, take the medicine. Where did this damn cat hide?”
Once Shige had taken the medicine and could see something again he started glaring at Ryo.
“Why did you steal Nyanta? Do you want to cause Kei-chan a heart attack?”
“I didn’t steal it, I borrowed it! That’s a difference!” Ryo pouted back.
“But why?”
“Because… because you like it, right? And I wanted to give you the opportunity to play with it!”
Shige blinked, jaw dropping. Ryo was still pouting and Shige tried very hard to follow Ryo’s explanation.
“But why did you… borrow… him then? I could always play with him at Koyama’s.”
“Well, I- I wanted to play with it!”
“You don’t even like cats!”
Ryo’s pout grew wider before he finally bent down and tried to catch sight of the cat. He found Nyanta under the couch from where it was glaring at him with gleaming, green eyes.
“I do, see!” And with that Ryo tried to grab the cat to pull it out from where it was sitting. Only that Nyanta didn’t feel like being pulled and pushed around and bit into Ryo’s hand as soon as he got near enough.
Ryo squeaked surprised and jumped back but only hit the coffee table with his head.
“Damn cat.” He snorted under his breath and Shige just rolled his eyes.
“I guess, in the end the cat’s intelligence surpasses yours anytime” Shige remarked sarcastically and pulled his cell phone out of his pocket.
“I’ll call Koyama now that you took his cat!”
“NO!” Ryo yelled and Shige dropped his cell phone in surprise. “I said we are going to have a fun day with this cat, so we are going to have a fun day, no matter what!”
“But Kei-chan will freak out as soon as he notices that his cat has disappeared!”
“But Pi is there, right? He will take care of him!”
Shige frowned. What could Yamapi supposedly do to stop Koyama from dying out of worry?

Obviously Yamapi couldn’t do anything else than being shaken by a hysteric Koyama.
“My cat is not here!” Koyama flailed and tightened his grip on Yamapi’s shirt.
“Kei-chan, calm down, maybe it has just gone for a walk?”
Yamapi’s try to calm the other one down only ended up in more hysteric squeaks and wilder flailing.
“He has never gone outside! What if he runs away and doesn’t find back home? What if he sits somewhere, lost, because he doesn’t know how to come back? What if, what if…” Koyama started to sniffle and Yamapi quickly pulled him in an embrace and rocked him like a baby because he didn’t know what else do to. In his head, though, he cursed Ryo for making him agree to this oh so wonderful plan that would end up in Koyama finally falling for Yamapi.
Yamapi should have known that stealing (“Stupid, I’m not stealing it, I’m borrowing it, that’s something completely different!” Ryo had insisted) Koyama’s cat would do nothing more than causing this poor guy the shock of his life. And how the hell were they actually supposed to find a good explanation afterwards anyway?
Yamapi sighed and gently patted the head of a sobbing Koyama.

Shige couldn’t suppress the laughter when Ryo unsuccessfully tried to get Nyanta out from under the couch, cursing and competing with the cat of who could glare better.
“Damn cat you!” Ryo hissed and this was the moment when Shige thought that he should free Ryo from his pain.
So the law student bent down on his knees and pushed Ryo out of the way. He locked eyes with the cat and smiled and gently said “If you come out now we will bring you back to Kei-chan as fast as possible. Ryo is just a hopeless idiot who never thinks before he acts. But you don’t have to worry. I will save you from him!”
Ryo snorted and Nyanta tilted his head when Shige slowly stretched out his arm in front of the cat’s head. As soon as Nyanta had smelled Shige it allowed the law student to gently stroke through his fur and even started purring under Shige’s touches.
Nyanta finally decided that it wouldn’t be too bad to come out from under the couch as long as Shige was there and kept purring comfortably when Shige lifted the cat onto his arms.
“Let me take it!” Ryo demanded and reached out but Shige backed away automatically.
“You don’t even like cats! And you were mean to him!”
Ryo glared at Shige than at the cat and Nyanta glared back before deciding that Ryo was just not worth it when it had Shige who gently stroke him.
“Let’s give him back for God’s sake!” Shige sighed and proceeded to go for the door only to realize that he obviously wouldn’t be able to get away from here without Ryo.
“If you really want to have a pet around you, you could have just asked me. I have a dog, you know!” Shige explained frowning.
Ryo’s eyes brightened.
“You would bring your dog along, just for me?”
Shige’s eyebrow twitched but then he smiled “Sure, just say something!” and Ryo smiled at him, already developing his next plan, since the stupid cat just didn’t want to play along.
“Can we now please get the cat back to where he belongs before Koyama really dies?”

“…and you know, last summer I let him out in our garden and he was so happy because there were so many wonderful things and then…” Koyama sobbed uncontrollably once more and Yamapi could nearly hear the crack of his own heart as he kept on reassuringly patting Koyama’s head and rubbing his back. By now, Yamapi’s shirt was already wet where Koyama’s tears had dropped into but somehow, Yamapi didn’t really mind because as long as the literature graduate was so close to him, everything was fine.
Yamapi had already forgotten about what Koyama was actually crying and he couldn’t help but drift off from Koyama’s talk because all he could think of was how to stop Koyama from crying.
“Let’s go look for… erm… your cat!” Yamapi suddenly announced and Koyama’s head popped up, hope gleaming in his eyes, his lips trembling.
“But how shall we ever find him?” Not difficult, just go and look in Ryo’s apartment
Yamapi smiled and pecked Koyama on the forehead before giving his brightest smile.
“Let me do this, I will find him! You stay here maybe Nyanta will appear again on its own!”
Yamapi gave Koyama the thumbs up before jumping up and leaving the apartment.
According to Ryo’s plan he would just have to drive over to his apartment, get the cat and come back again, appear as the hero and with that conquer Koyama’s heart in no time.
Naturally Yamapi was surprised when he opened the door and Shige stood on the other side, his hand already stretched out for the bell. They looked at each other surprised, then Yamapi noticed the cat in Shige’s arm and Ryo who glared at Shige’s back- or maybe at the cat, Yamapi wasn’t too sure about that.
“Kei-chan!” Shige yelled into the apartment and both Ryo and Yamapi jumped because Shige was just about ruining the perfect plan. Therefore Shige got a clap on the back from Ryo and turned around to snort something and then Yamapi locked eyes with Ryo and took the cat from Shige’s arm faster than Shige could say “What the hell?” and stormed back inside.
“Shut up, stupid! The plan!”
Shige blinked not getting anything at all.
“What plan?” he asked dumbfounded and Ryo rolled his eyes
“The kidnapping was for Yamapi to hook him up with Koyama!”
Shige narrowed his eyes.
“I thought it was for me spending time with a cat?”
Ryo laughed sheepishly.
“Well, both I guess. Now get away from the door, I had enough of Koyama’s cries!”
Shige blinked but didn’t say anything when Ryo dragged him back down and into his car.

Koyama didn’t know what to do first, cuddle his cat or Yamapi for finding it and decided to do both at the same time. Naturally only Yamapi found it great because Nyanta didn’t quite like being sandwiched and jumped from Yamapi’s arms back to his well-deserved sleep in Koyama’s bed.
But when somehow, mysteriously Yamapi and Koyama joined the cat, Nyanta almost had a smile on his face- if cats were able to smile. Because even though this stupid short guy had stolen him, Shige had been unbelievable nice to him and finally, Koyama had noticed how much he actually would miss him. Nyanta was sure that Koyama would give him lots and lots of food and attention starting today and food and attention was always worth staying.

And Nana? Nana pretty much came to like Ryo because Ryo was always so much nicer to her than Shige, because Shige always had other things to do and Ryo even allowed her to sleep in his bed and always paid him so much attention- at least as long as Shige wasn’t around.
For sure, Nana loved Shige but Ryo would always, really always stop stroking Nana after a short while to pay attention to Shige even though Nana probably knew best how boring Shige actually was.
But then again, since Ryo came into her life, Shige paid Nana more attention, if only to take her to Ryo or take her for a walk together with Ryo. Nana only didn’t like it when she was allowed to stay over at Ryo’s but then had to sleep in the living room because Ryo and Shige wanted time for themselves.

By the way, if Nana and Nyanta would ever meet their conversation would probably go like this:
Nana: “Sometimes I’m allowed to stay over at Ryo and Ryo is really a nice guy, but I really don’t like it when they throw me out!”
Nyanta: “Oh, don’t tell me, I also ALWAYS get thrown out of Kei-chan’s bed when Yamapi comes over. I really like Yamapi but this is soo distressing.”
Nana: “But then again, I was once allowed to stay in the room and since then I am better off sleeping outside, because I don’t know WHAT they are doing but they are sooo loud I just can’t get any rest!”
Nyanta: “Totally know what you mean. But at least they are happy, right?”
Nana: “Exactly!”

But then again, since Ryo came into her life, Shige paid Nana more attention, if only to take her to Ryo or take her for a walk together with Ryo. Nana only didn’t like it when she was allowed to stay over at Ryo’s but then had to sleep in the living room because Ryo and Shige wanted time for themselves.

By the way, if Nana and Nyanta would ever meet their conversation would probably go like this:
Nana: “Sometimes I’m allowed to stay over at Ryo and Ryo is really a nice guy, but I really don’t like it when they throw me out!”
Nyanta: “Oh, don’t tell me, I also ALWAYS get thrown out of Kei-chan’s bed when Yamapi comes over. I really like Yamapi but this is soo distressing.”
Nana: “But then again, I was once allowed to stay in the room and since then I am better off sleeping outside, because I don’t know WHAT they are doing but they are sooo loud I just can’t get any rest!”
Nyanta: “Totally know what you mean. But at least they are happy, right?”
Nana: “Exactly!”
